Sustainable Hastings is proud to celebrate three (3!) recent awards we have received:
First & Second:
The Federated Conservationists of Westchester County
has given Sustainable Hastings their Green Seal Award! PLUS, while there, Westchester County Legislator Tom Abinanti presented a Proclamation declaring June 4, 2009 to be "SUSTAINABLE HASTINGS DAY"
Third:
During the County's 2009 Earth Day event, Sustainable Hastings was awarded a Certificate of Achievement from County Executive Andrew Spano "For outstanding leadership in conducting the Green Living Fair as part of Hastings' Climate Action Week, April 2008".
Elisa Zazzera & Deann Cartwright accepted and truly thank everyone who was a part of that herculean effort that many folks are still talking about and more importantly-- acting from! Thanks to John Scaramuzzo (Westchester County Dept. of Environmental Facilities) who was a critical part in our 'Talkin Trash' tent for nominating us.
